Full walkthrough
This is the first space to let the player get familiar with the area. The player will eventually see the large gate once they press the button on the ground.
The next few rooms introduce moving platforms and green lava that'll kill the player, forcing them to respawn.
This is the puzzle room. It felt necessary for a 3D platformer level.
More moving platforms, but this time, it'll lead to the final boss (or bosses)
This leads to the entrance to the final boss room. The last few small enemies drag the player towards the entrance.
It felt necessary to have more than one of those enemies. Two waves felt right: first with 2 of them, and then 3.
Cinemachine-Camera editing would be perfect in the final boss room to show the door closing and the spaceship landing at the end. That was one of the few things that was missing.
This is the full blockout pass of the 3D platformer level I'm making using Unity's 3D Game Kit. It was inspired by popular 3D platformer games from the late 90s/early 2000s. The music is from Star Fox Adventures. I did the world-building pass in the first part of the level and in parts of it at the end, but the majority of it is still in the blockout phase.
